A Leitrim GAA club has been given the go-ahead for a major new development at their home ground.
Carrigallen GAA club is looking to develop a multipurpose building to facilitate indoor training as well as extend their training field with perimeter fencing and flood lighting.
Also included in the plans are a detached modular coffee shop, enhanced parking, erection of a scoreboard and the extension to the existing walking track.
The club have also included plans for ground mounted solar panels on site as well as electronic display messaging boards on the roadside.
An adjusted car parking layout and outdoor gym area also form part of the plans.
Leitrim county planners have approved the application with 8 conditions attached.
These include rulings that all cables should be undergrounded where possible, that floodlighting shall not operate between 10pm and 9am, and that ingenuousness trees should be used in landscaping.
