Protesters claim there aren't enough resources in Castlerea for over 50 refugees to be accommodated in apartments in the town.
They have also expressed fears for people's safety, when speaking at a protest in the west Roscommon town yesterday.
A total of 52 international protection applicants are due to be housed in the Riverwalk apartments from June 7th.
These people, who were among around 90 who protested yesterday in Castlerea, have concerns about a lack of resources.
There is no clarity yet on whether the international protection applicants will be men, women or children.
But these people fear they will be single men.
Around half of those who attended the protest were not Castlerea locals.
