Castlerea missing person search called off after discovery of body

A search for a man missing in Castlerea in Roscommon has been called off after the discovery of a body this morning.

Volunteers had gathered in the town this morning to begin efforts to search for Donal Peyton, who was last seen on February 14th.

Searches began at 10.30am and it's understood a body was discovered just before midday following co-ordinated searches involving local gardai and the civil defence.

Volunteers have been thanked for their help.
