The Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council has appealed to the 5% of people not following Covid guidelines to realise the consequences of their actions.
Over two hundreds cases of Covid have been reported in Leitrim in the last fortnight - despite the county entering last month with one of the lowest Covid rates in the country.
Leitrim County Council last week closed car parks at four amenities in the county after reports of dozens of people gathering and meeting up outdoors.
Councillor Mary Bohan made a special appeal at the January meeting of the County Council for people to stay at home and to abide by the level 5 lockdown rules.
She says that the restrictions are for everyone's benefit:
