The Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council is hopeful of significant support for people affected by a massive mudslide in north Leitrim.
Thousands of tonnes of bogland have slipped in the Shass Mountain area after significant rainfall in the area over the weekend.
The IFA as well as the local authority are assessing the area and the Council has confirmed that if emergency measures are identified, appropriate actions will be carried out.
A number of homes have been evacuated in the area and there are fears that more damage could be done if further slips occur.
