The winner is yet to come forward. Last night's lotto jackpot of 12.7 million euro is the highest amount given away in almost four years.
A lucky player in Kilkenny scooped the prize thanks to a quick pick ticket which had the winning numbers of 4, 14, 20, 23, 27, 37 and bonus 39.
The shop that sold the ticket will be revealed over the coming days. Fran Whearty, of the National Lottery, says they still haven't heard from the winner.

Two players in Cavan and Dublin were one number short of sharing the jackpot, but take comfort in prizes of €416,263 each. The lotto plus 2 top prize of €250,000 was also won by a player in Portlaoise.
