Post mortem examinations are due to take place this afternoon on the bodies of a man who died in Leitrim and a woman who died in Loch Gowna in drowning incidents last night.
A woman in her 20s died in an incident at Lough Gowna last night.
It's believed she had entered the water at to rescue her son shortly after 9pm.
The body of the mother of two was found at the shoreline in Loch Gowna a short time later after emergency services and the Coast Guard helicopter had responded.
Her body was taken to Navan Hospital where a post mortem is to take place.
The boy is believed to be uninjured.

Elsewhere, the man who drowned in Spencer Harbour in Lough Allen last night is believed to have been a tourist to the area.
The man, who was in his 70s, was diving at Spencer Harbour, Drumkeeran and failed to return to the surface.
His body was recovered by local emergency services and removed to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital for post mortem examination.
That is also due to take place today.
