An outgoing Minister of State believes cameras are one of the key ways to deter people from illegally dumping in parts of Co. Roscommon.
Former Green Party TD Ossian Smyth lost his seat following the last election, with party leader Roderic O'Gorman the sole survivor in the Dáil.
Many parts of Co. Roscommon has seen illegal dumping take place over the past number of years with some calling for a multi-agency approach to tackle the problem.
