Center Parcs has announced plans for a major expansion of its Longford Forest in Ballymahon.
The company has confirmed it intends to build an additional 200 lodges as part of an €85m expansion which will result in 250 new permanent jobs as well as 300 construction jobs.
The proposed development will remain within the existing site boundary and it is hoped the planning application will be lodged before the end of the year.
It's hoped the construction will begin in 2023 and is likely to take several months. Center Parcs CEO Martin Dalby confirmed the plans at a press conference this morning:
