A major 85 million euro expansion for Centre Parcs in Longford is facing delays.
200 new lodges, extra sporting and leisure facilities along with an extension to the swimming and spa facilities are the core of the new development near Ballymahon.
According to the holiday park, in-depth environmental surveys of the site and design analysis are taking more time than first anticipated.
The UK based company is now aiming to submit a planning application by mid-2022.
Centre Parcs confirmed that locals are being kept up to date on the change of timeline and will continue to engage with them moving forward.
It's hoped the new expansion to the park will see the creation of up to 250 new jobs.
