In an article published in this weeks Irish Independent newspaper, the local holiday resort has recorded weekly revenues of €1.85m this year.

It's been revealed that Center Parcs in Co. Longford are taking in almost €2 million a week. According to an article published in this weeks Irish Independent newspaper, the local holiday resort has recorded weekly revenues of €1.85m this year.

Meanwhile, the €365m holiday resort in Co Longford has this year paid €25.2m in wages and salaries underlining the resort's importance to the local economy. New accounts show that the numbers employed by Center Parcs Ireland Ltd have this year increased by 68 from 1,233 to 1,301 as the wages and salaries bill increased from €22.6m to €25.2m.

It was announced earlier this year that Center Parcs will begin a new €100m development at the site in Co. Longford next month. The development includes the addition of 198 lodges which will increase the capacity of the resort to approximately 3,500 guests per break and will create 250 permanent jobs.
