The Chief Executive of Longford County Council says spirits are high in Longford ahead of the Christmas period.
Paddy Mahon said this is aided by the reopening of the Grafton Court just five months on from a devastating fire.
The fire which occurred at the end of July cost millions of euro worth of damage and led to the closure of over a dozen businesses.
Mr Mahon said the council would work closely with business people to make the county an attractive place to live and work in.
