A Longford educational facility is attracting some of the world's most famous sports stars
Longford International College, based on the Ballinalee Road, recently welcomed former Chelsea and Arsenal Goalkeeper Petr Cech to its list of alumni.
Among the rest of this year's graduates were 1990 World Cup winner, Juergan Klinsmann, and current Southampton goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
President of the college, Vincent English, hopes that the college can help provide investment in the Longford area.
"We settled in Longford because that's where my wife is from, well Lanesboro actually, and Longford is a very central town. We're an hour and a half from everywhere, pretty much. Longford is as good as any and we all realise it needs a bit of regeneration, a bit of investment in the place and we hope we can be a part of that".
