Earlier this month, Roscommon councillors signed off on a record budget worth almost €80m for next year.

The Chief Executive of Roscommon County Council believes its important to work with other local authorities going forward.
Shane Tiernan says there must be collaborative plans in place with Leitrim and Westmeath County Councils for large towns like Carrick on Shannon and Athlone.

Earlier this month, Roscommon councillors signed off on a record budget worth almost €80m for next year.
Tiernan says for the first time ever the council are progressing joint urban area plans for Carrick and Athlone:
