Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred in Longford town this morning.
It is believed that a female child, who was a pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle as she attended the Saturday market that is held each week in the town.
She has been taken to Mullingar Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The single vehicle crash happened at the Townspark Industrial Estate in the town at approx. 11.15am.
Longford Gardai are Investigating the collision.
