The childcare sector is holding a national day of action, to highlight the financial crisis facing the sector.
It comes as providers prepare to close their doors from September 26th to 28th in protest against spiralling costs that are threatening their viability.
The Federation of Early Childhood Providers is warning the decision by its members to close will affect 90 thousand children and their parents.
It's urging parents, childcare providers and campaigners to join their day of action, which gets underway at Liberty Hall in Dublin at 9.30 this morning.
