Leitrim County Council is to hold a civic reception for the county's All-Ireland-winning footballers. The ladies' side beat Tyrone in the All-Ireland Intermediate Final in Croke Park last month, winning the title for only the second time in history. A civic reception was proposed by Fianna Fáil councillor Mary Bohan at a council meeting yesterday (Monday) and is due to be held early next month. Councillor Bohan says the team brought great joy to the county.
