Civil Defence & Gardaí praised for efforts in search for missing Longford man

A major search effort has been mounted over the last 6 days including Civil Defence, Gardaí and local volunteers.

Civil Defence and Gardaí have been praised for their ongoing efforts to bring a missing Drumlish man home to his family. Peter Oliver Bohan was last seen leaving his home on Sunday last at around 1pm, wearing a blue knitted jumper, dark trousers and a dark baseball cap with a red peak. A major search effort has been mounted over the last 6 days including Civil Defence, Gardaí and local volunteers.

Civil Defence crews from across the country have supported the search with specialist sniffer dogs, drones and communication equipment currently in use. Anyone who was in the area on Sunday the 12th of May and may have seen Peter or who were driving and have dash cam footage are asked to contact Longford Garda Station. Civil Defence officer Emma Reid has been overseeing the search and has paid tribute to the dedication of all involved.
