A Roscommon woman is calling for clarity about what supports are available for Ukrainian families who have managed to make their way to Ireland.
Antoinette Gallagher says a local Polish family has opened their home in Taughmaconnell to a family who had to flee Ukraine and they arrived yesterday.
She says it's very difficult to find what supports might be available here for Ukranian refugees, and how they can register for state services.
Antoinette says the mother in the family works in IT and wants to see if she can work online here, and her husband who's an engineer would also like to get a job as soon as possible.
She says while there's been a lot of talk about helping refugees, clear measures must be put in place immediately.
