A local Green Party Councillor says people upset about the fast pace of changes required under the government's new climate action plan must realise they are protecting future generations.
On Thursday the Government published a 125 billion euro Climate Action Plan - with much of the money coming from private sources.
It aims to have roughly a million electric vehicles on the road by the end of the decade.
It has also been suggested people use some of their excess savings from Covid-19 to retrofit homes.
