A member of the board behind the major apprenticeship training centre planned for Roscommon, says he still expects it to go ahead. There are concerns the project has stalled because of a problem with the proposed site in Roscommon town.

Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board submitted their proposals last year, which involved workshops in a 22,000-square foot building. Fine Gael councillor Gareth Scahill is a member of the board of the GRETB and denies the project has met a roadblock:
