Close to 20,000 homes and businesses in the Shannonside region remain without power this morning.
It's after the devastation caused by Storm Darragh yesterday morning.
ESB crews are working to restore electricity to homes throughout Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
But it's warning significant numbers will be without electricity for several days - and some for around a week.
Castlerea councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice says he hopes, for many, power will be restored much quicker.
Local authorities are also working to remove fallen trees from roads.
Roscommon senator Eugene Murphy says the storm caused significant damage.
Over 2,300 homes and businesses are still without power in Co Longford, with the ESB hoping to restore power 7 o’clock this evening.
