Close to 800 assaults were investigated by Gardaí in the Shannonside Northern Sound region in the first 6 months of the year.
The data comes after the Central Statistics Office yesterday lifted a warning on the reliability of crime figures from the Gardaí that had been in place since 2018.
CSO crime figures had been 'under reservation' due to concerns with the PULSE system, with that deisignation lifted following a review.
According to Pulse, the Garda computer system, 790 reports of assault were investigated by Gardaí in Longford, Roscommon, Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan.
The Cavan Monaghan Garda Division saw the majority of these cases with 361 incidents reported along with a further 375 threats of assault or harm.
Gardaí in Longford and Roscommon dealt with 268 assaults from January to June, with a further 216 people reporting being threatened with violence.
161 cases of assault were recorded in Leitrim and Sligo in the 6 month period along with 260 threats of the same investigated.
