The Shannonside region has received in the region of 83 million euro for road projects in an announcement today by the government. Roscommon received the highest amount in the region with almost 73 million euro.
63 million euro of that allocation is to be spent on the N5 Ballaghadereen bypass to Longford. Meanwhile, Leitrim received 5.2 million with the N4 Carrick on Shannon to Dromod bypass receiving 1 million. Finally, Longford received 4.8 million in todays announcement with the N4 Mullingar to Longford road receiving 1.4 million.
