Close to one million euro has been awarded to local education and training boards as part of capital grants from the Department of Education.
The local allocation is part of a national fund of over 5.4 million euro announced today by Minister Simon Harris.
The Cavan Monaghan ETB received the highest allocation locally at €302,849 following this morning's announcement.
That's followed by the Longford Westmeath Education and training Board who are to receive funding of over €289,000 from the department.
Leitrim falls under the umbrella of the Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim ETB, which is to receive €207,000.
While the GRETB, which covers Roscommon has been allocated the lowest amount locally at €190,000.
Projects approved across local ETBs cover health and safety issues, small-scale energy efficiency measures and new equipment.
