Ballymahon area councillor Mick Cahill says news of the second temporary closure of the Center Parcs holiday village will be keenly felt in the local area.
The company said they will be closed for the rest of the month and will re-open for October 30th at the earliest due to the introduction of Level 3 Covid guidelines across the country.
Councillor Mick Cahill says the company has quickly become an integral part of the local economy and other businesses will also feel the impact of its closure.
He says Center Parcs had kept in good contact with employees during its previous closure and he hopes that can happen again.
