A total of 127 council homes are vacant in the Shannonside region.
The findings were received through a Freedom of Information request submitted by Aontú leader, Peadar Tóibín.
The breakdown shows that Co. Longford holds the highest number of vacant council houses in the region, at 83.
While there are 24 unoccupied council homes in Co. Roscommon, and 20 in Co. Leitrim.
The data has also revealed that 1,206 people across the three counties are on waiting lists for a house.
