A collection of medical supplies for front line ambulances in Ukraine is taking place over the next two days in Carrick-on-Shannon.
The initiative is being led by the Leitrim Helps Ukraine group along with a number of other local community groups including the Tidy Towns.
General items such as bandages, thermometers, sterile dressings as well as PPE like gowns, masks, antibacterial wipes and gloves are all being sought.
The group is also looking for medicines such as antibiotics and over the counter pain relievers.
The drop off point is open from 10am-3pm today and tomorrow at the chamber building in the town.
Norma Duignan from the tidy towns hopes the truck with supplies will leave Ireland in early September.
"We got involved in tidy town and we became good friends with the Ukrainian people and we undertook to collect medical supplies and the truck is leaving in early in September when we label everything and pack everything on to the truck."
