The judge has informed the jury that they may return verdicts of capital murder, murder or manslaughter.

Barrister Roisin Lacey, told the jury it 'would be highly unfair to convict Mr silver of capital murder or any alternative murder' and championed the work of her own psychiatric expert witness, Dr Brenda Wright over the prosecution's Professor Henry Kennedy

Members of the prosecution began their final arguments to the jury this afternoon, with James Dwyer SC thanking the 7 men and 5 women for their service over the last six week.

Professor Kennedy stated that Silver had an intact recollection of the events, was able to perceive his surroundings and understand the nature and quality of his actions.

Professor Henry Kennedy told the court that despite warnings from consultants, the accused ceased taking his medication almost immediately following serveral instances of treatment
