The official launch of a new project which commemorates the work of architect, Frank Gibney, and his work in designing Bord Na Mona villages takes place this morning in Cloontuskert.
It's the only Bord Na Mona village in Co Roscommon and is one of several designed by the architect in the midlands during the 1950's.
The project is being spear-headed by the Irish Architecture Foundation and environment organisation Global Action Plan.
It will involve teams of designers and researchers examining the legacy of Frank Gibney and his designs, and explore how they can be applied to the changing environment.
Today's event takes place at Cloontuskert Community Orchard at 12 noon with a festive feast and a family treasure hunt.
