Community and voluntary organisations in the Shannonside region have been approved funding of over 93,000 euro this week.
Longford projects are to benefit from over 65,000 euro including an allocation of over 25,000 euro for Longford Women's Link and over 15,000 for Longford Community Resources Limited.
Over 14,000 is being earmarked for two projects in Leitrim, Leitrim Youth Project will receive over 12,000 euro and Mohill Family Resource Centre, 2,000 euro.
Three initiatives in Roscommon are being approved for funding, Roscommon Women's Network has been granted over 6,000 euro, Boyle Family Resource Centre over 3,000 euro and Abalta Roscommon benefiting from 4,800 euro.
The grants which are being made through the local Education and Training Boards are to increase the participation of disadvantaged learners by providing devices and software to deliver online learning.
Local political representatives including Senators Aisling Dolan and Eugene Murphy and Minister Frank Feighan have welcomed the allocations.
