Hospitals across the region are reporting busy Emergency Departments today with over 100 people on trolleys locally.
As hospital's deal with a surge in admissions to Covid wards due to the Omicron variant, non Covid patient care is also under severe pressure.
UHG and Sligo University Hospital are the 3rd and 4th busiest facilities in the country today with 33 on trolleys in Galway and 28 in Sligo as of this morning.
That's followed by Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe, where 18 patients are waiting on a bed.
In the Midlands, Mullingar and Tullamore regional hospitals are facing bed waiting lists of 14 and 8 people respectively.
While Cavan General Hospital has the lowest figure in the region, it's still facing a busy day with 4 people waiting on trolleys in the hospital.
Nationally, 370 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today's INMO Trolley Watch.
