Concerns over rural crime under the spotlight at Glenamaddy meeting tonight

An increase in burglaries in east Galway will come under the spotlight at a public meeting in Glenamaddy Community Centre this evening.

Gardai, local politicians and Muintir na Tíre will be among the speakers at a community crime information talk at 8.15.

Speakers will outline ways to prevent burglaries ahead of the clocks going back this weekend.

Helen Murphy is one of the organisers - and she is concerned at the spike in rural crime recently.
