There are concerns about the safety of children in south Longford due to dangerous parking on match days.
Fine Gael councillor Paul Ross says a new footpath was put in place between Ardagh GAA grounds and Ardagh village over the past year.
He says bollards are now needed on the footpath as people are parking dangerously.
After raising the issue at a meeting of Ballymahon Municipal District this week, Councillor Ross said urgent action is needed for the safety of children.
