A Roscommon TD has once again raised concerns around staffing levels at a local mental health facility. Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane says there continues to be critical vacancies at the E-Mental Health Hub in Castlerea. The facility, which was opened by then Taoiseach Leo Varadkar in 2020, is home to the CAMHS Connect and Psychiatry of Later Life Services.

One of the vacancies is for a consultant adult psychiatrist, despite the post first being approved three years ago. Deputy Kerrane said there were question marks over the HSE's recruitment process for the role. Speaking to Let's Talk earlier today, she expressed concerns about the current level of services available for older adults:
