Concerns are being raised about the closure of a ward at St Joseph's Hospital in Longford Town.
According to local councillor Peggy Nolan, issues with the roof of the ward mean that 8 beds will be out of action for months, until repair work is complete.
Councillor Nolan believes the timeline of repair is unacceptable, with reports the beds would not be made available until Christmas.
