Concerns raised by Drumshambo residents over the further development of Acres Lake have been resolved.
That's according to Sinn Fein Councillor Brendan Barry who says changes have been made to previous plans.
Early last year funding was allocated to the Leitrim amenity which proposes a new changing facility as well as an induction area for water sports.
However, some locals had reservations over the development of a 70 space car park at the site.
Councillor Barry says these issues have been resolved to ensure the new development blends into the environment.
He believes Acres Lake will attract people to the area and says progress will be made this year following approval by An Bord Pleanala.
