A special diabetes clinic for children at Mullingar hospital will not be resuming services next month.
Shannonside FM has confirmed this afternoon that the clinic is unaware of any staff member being appointed to treat children despite reports earlier this week that a temporary nurse would be taking up a role at the clinic, before a full-time staff member would manage appointments next year.
However, the Dail this week heard that the filling of the temporary position has not been successful, and no clinics will take place this month, or in April.
