Plans have been approved for the construction of a broadband telecommunications mast on a GAA grounds in Westmeath.
On Tower Ireland Limited have sought the 24 metre structure to be erected on at the St Loman's GAA Club in Mullingar.
The plans call for a lattice support structure to hold antennae's, dishes and associated transmitting equipment for use in high-speed wireless data and broadband services

Ground based equipment cabinets, wiring and fencing are also included in the application.
The plans were approved by Westmeath County Council with 5 conditions attached.
