A group of residents from Cortober in Carrick-on-Shannon are strongly opposing the proposed route for the long-awaited bypass of the town.
The proposals involve a 5.8km road being developed from the Dublin Road to the Boyle Road.
The plans went on public display on Wednesday and it’s hoped the road will be finished by 2030.

But several Cortober residents have serious concerns and are organising a public meeting, which will take place next month.
Cortober man James Campbell says the route should be changed.
