Leitrim County Council has yet to sign off on major streetscape works in Carrick-on-Shannon due to quality issues.
Pavement setts which were laid in recent months were dug up on Main Street in the town last week.
In a statement, the local authority says they have not signed off on areas where there are issues with the quality of the workmanship or the materials that have been used.
Where this is evident, Leitrim County Council say they have insisted that the contractor redo the affected areas to bring the enhancements up to the standard required.
The public realm project was due for completion in November of last year but has been hit with several delays since it began two years ago.
Council officials say works are 95% complete with snag works continuing for the next number of weeks.
