A south Longford Councillor has claimed that the decision by Center Parcs to re-open next month is the economic kick-start the region needs following the Covid-19 lockdown.
The tourist resort closed its doors on March 13th after the Coronavirus was upgrade to a pandemic and is now set to re-open on July 13th.
The company has confirmed that there will be social distancing and new safety measures in place to protect the families who visit each week and the company's 1,000 employees.
Tourist attractions across the Shannonside region are beginning the process of re-opening from the end of this month and Councillor pat O Toole is hopeful that the decision by Center Parcs is a sign of things returning to normal
