A Leitrim Councillor is calling for the local authority to prioritise repair works on roads used as detours during the closure of Mohill's Main Street.
Councillor Thomas Mulligan says the local routes have sustained significant damage from HGVs and heavier vehicles.
He's reported that both the road surface and the grass verges of the traditionally quiet routes have been worn down over the last month.
Mohill's Main Street reopened to motorists this morning after a month of the road being closed due to safety concerns with a roadside building.
