County Roscommon recorded a total of 116 new Covid cases in the last fortnight according to new data released by the HSE.
The county's Covid incidence rate per 100,000 remains the fourth highest in the country.
Between June 21st and July 4th, a total of 5498 cases of Covid were recorded in the Republic of Ireland - with over 40% of reported in County Dublin.
However, the Shannonside Northern sound's region figures also increased in the latter half of last month with Roscommon recording 116 cases in the 14-day period - resulting in a per 100,000 rate of the virus of 179- well above the national average of 115 and placing of the fourth worst affected county , just behind Donegal, Waterford and Sligo.
In the same time period, 107 cases were recorded in County Westmeath and 141 in Sligo.
61 cases were recorded in Cavan, 31 in Monaghan, 25 in Longford and 11 in Leitrim which has the second lowest incidence rate, just above county Carlow.
