Two people are due in court this afternoon in connection with an alleged incident of violent disorder in Longford Town that left a man seriously injured.
Three houses were searched and three people were arrested following the incident in Deanscurragh close to a local national school.
A man in his 30s was taken by air ambulance to the Mater Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a serious, but non-life threatening condition.

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were charged and are due before Mullingar District Court this afternoon.
A second woman, also in her 20s, was charged and is due in court at a later date.
