A motorist in Westmeath is to face court following a traffic collision in the county last week.
Members of the Delvin Roads Policing Unit were called to a collision that saw at least one car significantly damaged.
On attending the incident they discovered one motorist involved was an unaccompanied learner driver.
The motorist had bought the car involved in the crash, just a few hours before, with the vehicle also having no insurance.
The driver now faces a court appearance for a number of road traffic offences.
