A protest led by criminal barristers in Longford will be taking place today.
It comes as a nationwide dispute which is demanding that barristers' pay issues be properly discussed by the government.
The Bar Council says barristers' pay is no better than it was in 2011, which is causing many of its members to leave the profession.
Criminal barristers around the country will withdraw their services today and will protest outside 16 courthouses nationwide, including Longford Town Courthouse.
Barrister Will Fennelly, who practices in the midlands, says the current rates of pay are unfair.
Mr Fennelly says today's action will have an impact on court cases in Longford.
