Gardai don't suspect foul play.

The cyclist who died in Castlerea yesterday has been named locally as Marcus Phelan, who was aged in his 50s.

The Dublin man, who had a holiday home in the area, was found dead in Cloonchambers at 2 o'clock yesterday morning.

Gardai don't suspect foul play.

They don't believe another vehicle was involved, and suspect he suffered a medical event and then fell off his bike.

He body was brought to Roscommon University Hospital, and a post mortem examination was arranged later.
