The Dáil was forced to be suspended earlier after an outburst by a local TD.
Deputy Marc MacSharry claimed he was not being allocated fair speaking time but was told by the Leas-Ceann Comhairle to sit down after she ruled his point was not in order.
The now independent TD left Fianna Fáil last week after an alleged bullying incident involving a former party colleague.
MacSharry refused to comply with the Leas-Ceann Comhairle's ruling and the session was suspended as a result.
"You have consistently put me into the last 3(speakers) where I'm lucky to get 30 seconds, while others enjoy the benefit of celebrating the local sausage manufacturers and the prizes they win for a minute and 10 seconds. I haven't the slightest intention (of resuming my seat) until you show a little bit less discrimination and some recognition for actual independence".
