The outpatients department in Roscommon University Hospital is not fit for purpose, according to a Ballygar GP. Dr Martin Daly says the block was built in 1941 - and is no longer suitable for patients' needs, 83 years later.
He says it doesn't even have a disabled toilet, which he describes as unacceptable. Dr Daly, who's running for Fianna Fáil in the general election, says the department needs to be replaced.
